What if the stage wasn’t just a place for performance — but a training ground for conscious leadership?

On July 11th, I had the honor of performing Better Together – Music Without Borders, an unplugged concert held at the beautiful Kulturschloss Wandsbek in Hamburg. This event was much more than a musical evening. It was a lived demonstration of the tools and principles I teach as a Body & Mind Leadership Coach.

As a performing artist with over two decades of experience, I’ve learned that true presence begins in the body. Whether you’re leading a team or standing under a spotlight, your voice, breath, and body alignment shape the way your message is received.

During this concert, I practiced — and embodied — the same techniques I guide my clients through:

🔸 Breath controlas a foundation for calm focus and emotional regulation.

🔸 Body awarenessto inhabit the stage (or meeting room) with confidence and fluidity.

🔸 Mental clarity to stay grounded in the present moment, even under pressure.

🔸 Freedom of expression — to let authenticity lead, not fear or performance anxiety.

🔸 And perhaps most importantly, collaborative presence — sharing space, rhythm and energy in deep synchronicity with my musical partner, the gifted French guitarist Lucas Ghelfi.

Performing as a duo requires active listening, adaptability, and mutual trust — the same elements that define successful leadership in any field.

The visual staging was enhanced by the scenic design, sculptural interventions on the music stands and microphone setup, and lighting design by Swen Kählert. The audiovisual design and sound art, created by Arnaldo Drés González, added emotional depth to the experience, reminding us how space, light, sound, and aesthetic intention influence perception and presence.

As professionals, we often focus on words and strategies — but leadership is felt, not just spoken. It’s a full-body, full-mind practice that can be developed, just like performance skills.

I’m sharing a few selected photos from the evening that beautifully capture the atmosphere — the connection with the audience, the interplay of sound and silence, the quiet power of being fully seen.

Thank you to Kulturschloss Wandsbek, Initiative Musik and Bezirksamt Wandsbek for supporting this project, and to my creative and technical collaborators who helped make this vision a reality.

Special thanks to Ainhoa Montoya Arteabaro, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Programmes, for her support, commitment, and contribution to making this event possible.

Let’s continue exploring how art, presence, and body intelligence can transform the way we lead — on stage, in the workplace, and in everyday life.
